Overview
The Profiles Performance Indicator has many uses. As an adapted DISC personality style assessment, the results can be used to understand, motivate, manage, and improve performance. These performance recommendations can enable employers to:
- Respond to job-related stress, frustration, and conflict
- Boost employee motivation
- Conduct effective performance appraisals
- Determine whether the employee is internally motivated, or will need external stimulation
This assessment tool provides specific analysis and feedback (via the Personal Report) in the following eight key areas:
- Productivity
- Quality of work
- Initiative
- Teamwork
- Problem Solving
- Adapting to Change
- How I deal with Stress
- Motivational Intensity
Critically, by providing information about these key areas to the employee, PPI empowers them to become more self-aware and, in doing so, provides a foundation for self-improvement. Each section within the Personal Report includes specific suggestions for improving effectiveness on that area. It is important that opportunities for further training or development be available for employees who are becoming more self-aware and Wilford Scholes provide specific training to support employees on the path of self-improvement.
Because this tool is about the behavior of an individual it is most appropriate to use Ipsative testing. However, because of this, we do not use it as a tool for hiring, only for personal development, on the job performance, coaching etc.
